Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Company legal name, once the LLC is formed ("Algotally," "we," "us") collects when you use algotally.com and the Algotally app, API and MCP server, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address; your plan, trial dates and report quota; the markets you add; your settings (the "Prepared by" name, your rates, branding, whether the Monday email is on); and, on Agency accounts, the email addresses of the seats you add.
What you put in. Business names and websites you run reports on, business profiles and fact sheets you save, clients and prospects on a roster, notes, outcomes you log, and merge or market requests. There are no file uploads: a client list imported from a CSV is read in your browser and saved as roster rows.
What you make. Stored reports, AI drafts (outreach, pitches, listing copy), share links and how often each is viewed.
Sign-in. A sign-in link is a one-time token that expires after 15 minutes. Once signed in, the app keeps a session token in your browser's local storage; it is not a cookie, and we set no cookies. API keys are stored only as a hash, so we can't read yours back.
Requests. Like any website, our hosting (Cloudflare) handles your IP address and browser details to serve each request. We use the IP address for rate limits (to stop abuse of free tools and sign-in), and requests may appear in short-lived operational logs. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers.
The free check and website audit. A business name and market typed into the free check, or a website address given to the audit, are used to answer that request. A market request form saves the market and, if you give one, your email, so we can tell you once when it goes live.
What we don't collect
We don't buy or sell personal data. We don't contact the businesses you look up. We don't track you across other websites.
The data behind the reports
Reports are built from answers AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, with web search) give to general buyer questions about a market, such as "Which plumbers in Houston do you recommend?". Those questions don't contain anything about you or your clients. Business names in those answers are public business names as the AI wrote them.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, the database, file storage for backups, email sending, rate limits, and some AI models (Workers AI) used to read answers and write drafts.
- Anthropic, OpenAI and Perplexity: they answer the market questions above. Anthropic's Claude also writes some drafts, and for that it receives the report findings and business details the draft is built from.
- Stripe: payments, once billing is live. We never see or store full card numbers.
Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Report runs are kept so you can reopen them; business tools on a report run are available for 60 days. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are kept briefly for security. Backups are kept for backup retention period. When you close your account we delete or anonymize its data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example, billing).
Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app, turn the Monday email off from any digest (one click, no sign-in), revoke share links and API keys, and remove seats. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, write to contact email. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights (for example under the CCPA or GDPR); we will honor them as the law requires.
Children
Algotally is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app and by email before it takes effect.
