Who AI Recommends: plumbing in Houston, TX
The sources AI models actually cite before answering, ranked by citation frequency — week 2026-W40.
AI answers here named 80 businesses. The US Census counts up to 1,184 in this line of business in Harris County, Texas (County Business Patterns, 2022).
How this is measured. Algotally asks AI models real buyer-intent questions
(e.g. "who are the best plumbing companies in Houston, TX?") and records
which web sources the model cites in its grounded answer. "Cited in" is the share of those
answers that cited a given source at all; "avg position" is where in the answer it tends to
appear. This is an objective count, not a quality judgment — a site can rank highly here
because it's genuinely useful to AI models, not because Algotally has any relationship
with it. Based on
62 AI answers over the last 90 days.
